Notes The A1 is the first signal processor that provides users with exceptional processing power as well as virtually unlimited flexability. All aspects of signal processing - from editing parametersto determining the routing of the signal path and even the order of the effects - are completely user programmable. There are 59 internal effect groups each with a number of variations. These effects can be assigned in different orders within the 50 variable effect Chains. Multiple effect programs consisting of up to 7 effects are easily created. Five Chain types are available: Series (one effect after another), Dual (independent left and right processing), Parallel (simultaneous processing), Key-in and Send and Return. 100 effect programs can be stored in the internal memory or to optional RAM cards. The A1 combines Korg's newest proprietary DSP chip, especially designed for multiple effects processing and a stereo A/D converter using 64 times oversampling filters which helps to minimize the signal degradation commonly associated with multi-effects processors. Balanced (TRS) and unbalanced 1/4" phone jacks are provided for inputs along with unbalanced 1/4" and balanced XLR jacks for outputs. Also featured are SEND/RETURN and EXTERNAL CONTROL jacks as well as a Digital I/O (S/PDIF) allowing the A1 to be interfaced with a wide variety of external devices. The optional RE1 Remote Editor allows the A1's edit functions to be available from the user's listening position. The optional FC6 Foot Controller allows remote program changes and effect on/off switching for live performance applications. Additional functions such as EDIT COMPARE and PROGRAM MAPPING add to the creative power and flexability of the A1. The A2 has a huge selection of 102 internal effects along with 97 Chains making the unit ideal for any kind of processing application - from recording studio to live guitar or keyboard. The Internal Chains allow simultaneous processing of up to 6 effects and consist of 76 mono "in" stereo "out" Serial or Parallel Chains, along with 21 discreet stereo "in" and "out" Dual processing effects Chains. Complete digital processing of the sound, from input to output, is accomplished by the specially designed Korg DSP (Digital Signal Processor) chip. Edits to effect parameters and Chains can be saved to any of the 100 internal programs or saved directly to a RAM card. New effects and Chains can be loaded into the A2 via the continuously expanding ROM card library. The optional FC6 Foot Controller allows remote program changes and effect on/off switching for live performance applications. The A3 is equipped with 41 effect types including reverb, delay, exciter, distortion, chorus and rotary speaker and allows simultaneous processing of up to 6 effects. The effect combinations are known as "Chains" and 20 of the most essential have been pre-programmed into the internal memory of the A3. Complete digital processing of the sound, from input to output, is accomplished by the specially developed Korg DSP (Digital Signal Processor) chip. Edits to effect parameters and Chains can be saved to any of the 100 internal programs or saved directly to a RAM card.
