iTunes Confirmed!

I just got my iTunes approval this evening, so expect to see some extra links around the site. I'll probably start with the users page and then expand from there. If I've left out any bands or artists, let me know. I'd love for the users page to be a "one stop shop" for people trying to find examples of "A Series" powered music!

I realize iTunes music isn't available to every country, but if there's enough interest I'll work on adding another music store to fill in the gaps.

Without further ado, the reason I decided to do all this in the first place:

iTunes Affiliation

We all know that there are lots of big artists using our beloved processors. Hopefully very soon we'll be able to buy music by these artists right here at korgaseries.org!

The biggest inspiration for me to sign up for the iTunes affiliate program is the new U2 album and the special edition single for "Vertigo".

I think I must have visited Apple's site the day the single was released and I was completely blown away. I'm a big U2 fan, but I usually prefer the pre-Zooropa albums. I think the new album, "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" provides a little more "rock" and a little less "electronic" than their last few albums. The Edge still sounds amazing, and I can say with confidence that his A2's & A3's are still being used a lot. (Let me know if you can confirm this. I'm a bit broke to subscribe to all the guitar mags out there. :-)

This affiliation will also serve another purpose - getting Aaron a new laptop! It's pretty much inevitable at this point that I'll be having another back surgery - this time to weld a steel rod to my spine. Needless to say, I won't be getting out of bed for a few months afterward and a laptop will be my only access to the outside world (unless y'all want to come visit me!). If you don't need any iTunes music but want to help, Nick (Noi5emaker) is still accepting donations on my behalf (see previous post for info). With the donations we've already received and a few little freelance graphics projects I've worked on, we're almost halfway to our goal! If you're curious, the goal is one of Apple's recently updated iBooks. They're a great deal at $999, and access to a Mac will help me help YOU with the card data transfers. :-)

Ahh. My pain meds are kicking in and I'm feeling almost normal - but it's also making me ramble, so I'll shut up now. Stay tuned for more info!
