Few words about A3W.

I know very well there are no way to set up A3 parameters via midi (only program change).

A3W do not communicate with A3, simply shows, edits and save the standard chains parameters downloaded in a system exclusive file.

By using any sequencing software it is possible to store in a file all A3 presets.

A3W can easily read the exclusive file and shows all parameters, print out programs, and, this is most important, copy and paste programs from an exclusive file to another.

The limitation about A3W is due to the parameters displayed, only standard chain can be viewed.

You can build your own program lists and then load the A3 with the new programs set.

If a rom card is loaded A3W will show the program name, you are not able to see parameters, but you can copy and paste program anyway.

You can not copy and paste program from different chains, but you can copy any program build with standard chains (from 01 to 16) to any rom card.

Example:

                - A3 is setted with default programs

You can print, view, copy and paste programs parameters

                - A3 is setted with a rom card

You can print, copy and paste programs, view only standard chains

                - A3 is setted with the "GUITAR2" rom card

You can copy and paste programs from "STHOWE" rom card because

                                both uses "D" chains

- A3 is setted with default programs, you have done some new hits and you have also a rom card.

When you have saved your favourites programs, you can copy them and paste into a rom card

and save as another system exclusive file ready to fit the A3.

I know the A3 is a retired equipment, but.... better later than never.

Dates: 1997 first issue (w3.1), 2000 converted for 32bit os (w95/98)
